What is the sanctuary model for emotional healing?
The Sanctuary is a place of refuge that Moses built in Exodus. It was a place where God could dwell so that he was able to speak to the people during that time. The Sanctuary is also a point of reference for our lives today. Through its symbolism, we can understand the pathway back to hearing the voice of God unobstructed, the original plan in the Garden of Eden.
The sanctuary pathway will take you back to who God originally created you to be. This is the core of your behavior, thoughts, feelings, motives, the foundation of who you are, how you relate to others, and how you connect with God. The enemy’s plan is to destroy our identity & self-concept. This leads us to a place that is outside of the blueprint plan that God designed for us.

What are emotional roots?
Emotional roots are deeper feelings that are hidden underneath our surface response. We often live our daily lives reacting to something or someone negatively throughout the day. Either we feel frustrated with our neighbor because their dog is barking too loud or we’re mad at our spouse because of the way they said something. No matter the issue, we often spend time throughout the day feeling, thinking, reacting, or responding negatively to an issue. These reactions can be outward and affect others, or inward and directly impact our self-image and self-concept.
Overall, Jesus desires for us to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31). This type of love can at times be very difficult and seem impossible to do when we’re burdened with negative emotions. The Recreate & Renew Companion Course will help you to unpack your negative emotions by getting to the root of why you feel the way you do. You will gain victory over negative, thoughts, feelings, and belief patterns that you’ve had since childhood and learn to replace them with new Christ-like patterns of behavior.
Why should I heal from emotional roots? Is this necessary?
Emotional roots are the guiding force of all reactions, responses, and behavior. If they aren’t healed, then you will always find yourself stuck in your emotions. Christ said, “Every plant that my father has not planted shall be rooted up (Mark 15:13). He desires for us to take every thought captive and make it obey the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Unfortunately, it is impossible to hear and obey God’s voice in every area of our lives when we aren’t healed from emotional roots. I am at peace with my relationship with Christ and what he is doing in me and with me to cleanse me. I have a much better understanding of the process now so I do not fight him like I used to.
