Why This Workbook Is Different
Most resources ask:
“What are you struggling with?”
Anchored & Attached in Love asks:
“Where did this struggle begin?”
Because lasting healing doesn’t happen by managing symptoms alone. It happens when we prayerfully uncover the roots of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and relationship patterns and invite Christ into the healing process.

"I created Anchored & Attached in Love for the woman who loves God deeply but still feels emotionally stuck, disconnected, afraid, or unsure how to receive His love.”
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Christian counselor, I have seen how early wounds, attachment patterns, and painful relationships can shape the way we connect with God, ourselves, and others. This workbook was written to help you slow down, identify the roots, bring them before Christ, and learn to abide securely in His love.
My prayer is that this resource helps you not only understand your story but also experience healing, truth, and deeper connection with Jesus.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Anchored & Attached in Love is designed for Christian women who desire deeper emotional healing, healthier relationships, and a more secure connection with God.
It may be especially helpful for women who:
struggle with rejection, abandonment, anxiety, loneliness, or emotional disconnection
notice unhealthy attachment, relationship, or communication patterns
desire to understand how past experiences may be affecting the present
want to establish healthier boundaries and emotional safety
are working through forgiveness, negative beliefs, family patterns, or unmet emotional needs
long to become more deeply rooted in their identity, security, and purpose in Christ
The workbook may be completed individually, alongside the devotional and Prayer Guide, or as part of a guided group journey. It is a Christ-centered personal-growth resource and is not a replacement for professional mental health treatment or crisis care.
-
Yes, men and women can both experience attachment wounds, emotional pain, unhealthy relationship patterns, and difficulty feeling securely connected to God.
However, Anchored & Attached in Love was intentionally written for women. Its language, examples, reflections, relational themes, and overall presentation are shaped around experiences that commonly arise in women’s emotional and spiritual lives.
The biblical truths and many of the healing principles may apply more broadly, but this particular resource was created to provide women with a focused, relatable, and supportive journey toward becoming more securely anchored in Christ.
-
No. The workbook was written to be accessible to everyday women while also providing meaningful depth. Concepts are explained in a practical and easy-to-understand way, making it suitable whether you are new to attachment theory or have studied it before.
-
The workbook explores:
Biblical attachment and connection with God
Attachment styles and relationship patterns
Neurobiology and the nervous system
Emotional regulation
Core beliefs and identity
Communication and conflict
Boundaries and healthy relationships
Trauma-informed healing and abuse
Spiritual growth and restoration
Practical tools for lasting change
-
No. Anchored & Attached in Love is designed to support your healing journey, not pressure you to complete every exercise. Some sections may speak directly to your current season, while others may be more helpful later.
You are encouraged to move prayerfully, pause when needed, and focus on the areas God is bringing to your attention. The goal is not to finish every page, but to engage honestly, safely, and meaningfully with the process.
-
Some sections may bring increased awareness of painful experiences, beliefs, relationships, or emotional patterns. You are encouraged to move slowly, pause when needed, and avoid pressuring yourself to complete a section before you feel ready.
You may return to prayer, use the Prayer Guide, speak with a trusted support person, or seek help from a licensed mental health professional when additional care is needed. This workbook is a personal growth resource and is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or crisis support.
-
The workbook is designed to move at your own pace. Some women may complete it in several weeks, while others may spend several months working through the exercises, journaling prompts, and reflection questions.
-
Yes. The workbook may be used in two different ways:
Informal group: A few women may work through the workbook together for encouragement, accountability, prayer, and discussion. This type of group is peer-led and does not follow the official 24-week group format.
Formal guided group: An official Anchored & Attached in Love group should have a designated leader who uses the Leader Guide and completes the Leader Preparation Course. Because the journey includes sensitive emotional, relational, and spiritual topics, the course helps the leader maintain appropriate pace, boundaries, safety, and a Christ-centered focus.
Each participant should have her own workbook. The group is not therapy and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or process trauma.
-
No. The workbook is an educational and spiritual growth resource and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace professional counseling, therapy, or medical care. However, many individuals find it beneficial alongside counseling or coaching.
-
No. While women who have experienced trauma may find the material especially helpful, the workbook is designed for anyone who wants to understand their attachment patterns, strengthen relationships, and grow closer to God.
-
Anchored & Attached in Love is intended to be useful to women across a variety of Christian denominations. It is grounded in Scripture and presents emotional and relational healing through a Christ-centered, biblical framework.
The workbook uses the King James Version of the Bible. It follows the sanctuary as a spiritual pathway of drawing near to God through honesty, surrender, renewal, truth, prayer, and abiding in Christ. It does not promote New Age spirituality, self-healing apart from God, or the belief that personal growth replaces the work of Christ.
-
No. Your workbook responses are personal and may remain completely private. Even when participating in a group, you should never feel pressured to share personal experiences, workbook answers, or details you are not comfortable discussing.
Group participation may include prayer, general reflection, and discussion, but vulnerability should always be invited rather than required. You are encouraged to share only what feels appropriate and safe.
-
Anchored & Attached in Love is written primarily for adult women. Because it explores attachment wounds, childhood experiences, abuse, relationships, family patterns, emotional needs, and forgiveness, it may not be appropriate for children or younger teens without guidance from a parent, counselor, or other qualified support person.
-
Anchored & Attached in Love does more than help women identify emotional wounds or understand why they respond the way they do. It provides a deeply Christ-centered pathway for tracing present struggles to their emotional, relational, and spiritual roots and bringing those areas into the healing presence of God.
The workbook uniquely brings together:
biblical truth and Scripture application
attachment theory and early relational patterns
trauma awareness and neurobiology
emotional and relational assessments
practical tools for boundaries, communication, forgiveness, and truth replacement
guided reflection and prayer
the sanctuary as a pathway of honesty, surrender, renewal, truth, and abiding in Christ
This is not a New Age resource, a general spirituality workbook, or an inner-child healing program. It does not teach women to look within themselves as the source of healing, connect with a higher self, manifest change, or rely on spiritual practices apart from Christ.
Instead, the workbook helps women understand what has shaped them, recognize the lies and patterns that keep them emotionally bound, and cooperate with Christ as He brings truth, safety, restoration, and freedom.
The goal is not simply self-awareness, self-improvement, or better coping. It is to become more securely anchored in Christ, more emotionally whole, and better able to relate to God and others from a place of truth, wisdom, and healthy connection.
